The same goes for bales: only if they are produced following precise rules can they conserve forage in optimal conditions.Modern technology, also thanks to thorough studies done in the field of animal feed, now make it possible to maximize easily the content of nutritive substances in the forage and keep it stable and usable for aperiod of time.
Drying of forage meets all these requirements but it must be part of a complete process. After mowing the product must not be left for long in the field but gathered while green, when the humidity levelis around 50%. This is the only way to keep the leaves in the forage which are valuable for their high vitamin content.The pressing process then must produce a soft core and density gradually increasing towards the outer layer as this is the only way for the dehumidified air, blown through the bale, to flow correctly outwards taking with it the water present in the bale.The Variable Geometry of the Feraboli Extreme round balers makes it possible to form bales ideal for an effective drying process.
